Enjoy the World Cup safely and respectfully

The FIFA World Cup has kicked off, and we know many of our customers will enjoy watching matches with friends and family, but we want everyone to enjoy the tournament safely and respectfully.

Major football tournaments can sometimes lead to increased noise, anti-social behaviour, and domestic abuse incidents. We’re asking all customers to be considerate and help keep our communities safe and welcoming for everyone.

Celebrations with friends and family are natural during this time, but excessive noise, especially late at night, can disturb neighbours. Please be mindful of your neighbours when enjoying the games.

Aggressive, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory behaviour won't be tolerated and may result in tenancy enforcement action, police involvement, or both.

Football doesn't cause domestic abuse. However, support services and police data show incidents can increase during major tournaments.

If you're experiencing domestic abuse or are worried about someone else, support is available:

• call 999 in an emergency;

• contact Women’s Aid
