Local area and map

The cathedral city of the Cotswolds, Gloucester has its roots stretching back to Roman times and has continued to be an important English city, boasting over 2,000 years of history. Built on the River Severn just north of the Severn Estuary, Gloucester is the country's most inland port,  has seen unprecedented regeneration in the last decade, most visibly at the city's historic docks.

The development is set in the heart of the city, only minutes away from the shopping at King's Walk Shopping Centre and the Eastgate Shopping Centre. Every Friday, you will find the best in locally sourced produce at the popular Farmers Market on The Cross (where the 'Gate Streets' meet). The City Centre also hosts seasonal craft markets.

An outlet centre just 15 minutes from the City Centre, Gloucester Quays has become a favourite destination for visitors with its great value designer brands, as well as its multiplex cinema, restaurant quarter and many festivals.

Take the tour

Due to the current restrictions, we have created a virtual tour of the development allowing you to explore its stunning new development which has stunning views of Gloucester Cathedral the Cotswolds beyond and in its own right has become a new landmark for the city centre.

Take a walk through the site and explore an available two-bedroom property within Walkinshaw Court before viewing the supported housing scheme of Carpenter House.

Access to Walkinshaw Court comes from Worcester Street and opens up into the joint car park for the development which also includes parking for electric vehicles, large bicycle storage and two vehicles for use by members of the Enterprise Car Club.

Green credentials

One of the biggest contributors to global warming is carbon dioxide. The energy we use for heating, lighting and power in homes produces over a quarter of the UK’s carbon dioxide emissions.

The average household causes about 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.

Based on this assessment your home currently produces 1.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year. You could reduce emissions by switching to renewable energy sources.

To improve the carbon emissions of the development solar panels have been added across the rooftop of Walkinshaw court supplying sustainable energy to the communal areas of the development and to two electric car charging points.

We have also collaborated with the Enterprise Car Club to provide residents with two hybrid vehicles, which as members of the Car Club can use whenever they need a vehicle, providing an affordable alternative to car ownership.
