What is solid wall insulation?

Most homes built before 1930 were built with solid walls, so they don’t have cavities that can be injected with insulation. These solid wall homes can be insulated with external solid wall insulation.

We use external insulation to keep your home warmer and to save you money on heating bills.

There are three types of insulation that can be attached to the outside of your home, they are expanded polystyrene, mineral wool, and phenolic resin.

To give you some idea of the money that you can save if you have solid wall insulation, have a look at this chart from the Energy Saving Trust
