Entrance to Elm Close
Volunteers met in early Spring 2012 to clear away years of rubbish and overgrown vegetation opposite the Rooftop residences in Elm Close and bordering onto the village hall in Pebworth.
The labour was provided voluntarily by local residents and the whole area is much improved and we have established a wildlife friendly area with bird and bat boxes and small log piles to encourage insects.
In addition the brook has been cleared of accumulated rubbish and is now flowing cleanly. The area has been named the Pebworth Jubilee Wildlife Garden to mark the occasion of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year.
Although the area has been largely cleared, new replanting will will take place during Autumn 2012 and Spring 2013 when wildlife friendly flowers, shrubs, trees will be planted to encourage more insects and birds to the area.
