The Rooftop Residents’ Community Fund recently made a major donation of £10,000 to help purchase two new minibuses for the Evesham Adventure Playground Association (EAPA).

The Fund, which is administered by Rooftop’s Customer Panel, agreed to the donation after an approach by the association who were desperate for help with establishing its new after school club.

The playground is more than just a place to play. There are a range of facilites and services available at and the association that runs it is committed to open access.

As well as the out-of-school club they also run various holiday schemes, a Friday night youth club, toddler groups and they offer multi-sports pitches for hire.

Heidi Deacon, EAPA Co-ordinator said that everyone at the playground was thrilled with the news vehicles: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to get on the road and we can’t thank Rooftop enough for this valued contribution. We are only a small organisation but we make a big difference to the lives of many young people in the Evesham area.”

Rob Kettley, Vice-Chair of the Customer Panel added: “We were very impressed with work the that EAPA carry out and so were very happy to make this donation. The playground provides great opportunities for youngsters – many of whom are Rooftop residents – and we know the Fund money is being put to good use.”
