Augmented Reality gives a sneak peek into new Gloucester Homes
The Black Dog Way development in the heart of Gloucester is one of the most significant city centre home building projects for decades, and now you can look inside the apartments before they've been built.
Rooftop Housing Group are harnessing the power of Augmented and Virtual Reality to give families the chance to see what living in the development will be like.
Passers-by on Worcester Street and North Gate Street can view a virtual tour of the completed building and 360 degree images of the typical home layouts, by downloading the zapper App to their mobile device and holding it up to the special hoardings around the site.
The graphics were created by specialist CGI designers White Chalk but creating images for use with Augmented reality was a first for their organisation.
John Rockley, Rooftop Housing Group’s Head of Communications and Marketing said "This has been a first for Rooftop and we are unaware of any other developers in the region, especially an Housing Association." “It’s really exciting that people can look inside the building, even before it’s finished. It’s a great facility and really gives a great sense of what the homes will be like.”
White Chalk have created a virtual tour of the new development at Black Dog Way in Gloucester.
The development is made up of 95 new affordable 1 and 2 bedroom apartments available for rent and shared ownership from early 2019
