How do I apply for a home?
To apply for a home, you need to register with your local authority who will operate a choice based lettings system, which allows home seekers to bid for vacant properties. Once you have registered, you will receive a bidding reference number which you will need to use every time you want to bid for a property. When you have placed your bid, the local authority concerned will allocate the property depending on the priority level of the bidder.

You will need to complete an application form and supply relevant documentation. Once your local authority has received this, they will give you a bidding reference number.
