We are committed to improving the environmental sustainability of our homes, with an aim to achieve an average SAP rating of 70 by 2016. We are guided by the Code for Sustainable Homes which measures the sustainability of a home against the following design categories:
- health and well-being
- surface water run-off
Currently, we have to achieve a minimum of level 3 of the code as a requirement of our grant funding, although some of our properties have achieved level 4!
What is a SAP rating?
SAP stands for Standard Application Procedure and defines the energy efficiency of a building by taking into account things such as the build materials and heating system.
