Our history

Our founding association, Evesham and Pershore Housing Association (EPHA), was formed in 1993 to accept a transfer of 4,020 homes from Wychavon District Council in South Worcestershire.

In 2003, EPHA sponsored the formation of the Rooftop Housing Group, which now operates from Somerset to Shropshire but is mainly focussed upon meeting housing needs in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. The Group provides over 6,000 homes and has an annual turnover of £29 million.

Since our creation, we have built a reputation for meeting the housing needs of local communities and providing excellent quality services to residents. Initially, our work was mainly in South Worcestershire but in more recent years we have expanded our operational area to include Gloucestershire and also work more widely with Health Trusts, providing staff accommodation. Our stock has grown by 50%. All our homes meet the Government’s Decent Homes Standard and beyond. We enjoy high levels of satisfaction from our residents and key stakeholders value our success at finding solutions for complex housing issues.
